Education And Development In Ledzokuku Is My Greatest Priority-Ledzokuku MCE


In a bid to promote and encourage pupils about the need to get educated, the Ledzokuku Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) ,Hon.Evelyn Twum-Gyamrah in the company of Greater Accra Regional Minister, Hon.Ishmael Ashitey, Former MP, Dr. Gladys Norley Ashitey as well as Regional and District Education Directors and the Chief Director of the Regional Coordinating Council has visited some schools in the Teshie township.

The visit was on the occasion of the ‘My First Day at School’ on January 19,2021 and it was a day most of the pupils would have in their memories for a very long time.

The day was observed with strict compliance of all COVID-19 safety protocols at all schools visited; based on the knowledge that there is an increase in the number of COVID-19 cases all over the country and the need to ensure that pupils in various schools do not get infected with the virus.

It is heartwarming to note that all pupils are aware of the times in which we are and as such ensured to protect and guard themselves by the use of face masks to prevent the spread of the virus.

Weija Barracks ‘B’ and Teshie Salem Kindergarten were some of the schools visited.

Learning materials and other items were distributed to the pupils.

It is important to note that Hon.Evelyn Twum-Gyamrah has always exhibited motherly love for Ledzokuku and as such the visit as well as the presentation of items to the schools isn’t much of a surprise.

She is bent on doing more for her people and needs to be supported in all her endeavours.
