Effective March 20 ,2023 till April 20,2023 , the Electricity Company of Ghana(ECG) will embark on an exercise dubbed ‘Nationwide Revenue Mobilization’ and as contained in a statement released by the company, the exercise will focus on all categories of customers including State Owned Enterprises who are in arrears .
Over the years , ECG has indicated the number of its customers who are in arrears keeps increasing and this does not help in the smooth running of the company .
The exercise would be duely monitored by special teams who will apprehend and prosecute customers who attempt to interfere with the exercise and/or undertake illegal reconnection after disconnection.
Due to this exercise, the Head Office , Regional and District Offices of the Electricity Company of Ghana will be temporarily closed from March 20 ,2023 till April 20,2023 with the exception of Customer Service Centers to enable total participation by top Management and staff.
Customers of the Electricity Company of Ghana are advised to pay their bills as soon as possible to avoid disconnection and subsequent payment of reconnection fees.
