Beyoncé Tops Grammy Awards 2021 Nominations List With 9 Nominations; Shatta Wale Missing In Action
The lists of nominees for the Grammy Awards 2021 has been announced. The 63rd Grammy Awards comes off next year, January 31.
American singer, Beyonce leads the list with nine nominations having Black Parade and the biggest project that focused on Africa, The Lion King. The nominations were released on Tuesday, November 24, and for second place, fellow singer, Taylor Swift bagged 6 nominations, same as Roddy Ricch.
The 63rd Grammy Awards will be hosted by popular American comedian Trevor Noah. It is the first time in his career he will be on the biggest music awards stage.
African Giants, Burna Boy, who got featured on Beyonce’s ’The Lion King’ also bagged a nomination as the second time of being nominated. The ’Brown Skin Girl’ and ’Black is King’ won Beyonce the nomination for the category, Best Music Video and Best Music Film respectively.
Beyonce again was nominated for Song of the Year and Record of the Year with the ’Black Parade’. The music queen will have to wait until January 31 to know how many she wins from the nine nominations.
